Radiation is more often than not invisible. Without the proper equipment, there is no way for them to tell whether or not there is a safe level of radiation in the environment, let alone what direction the source is even with a simple detector. For now we will have to hope Roxy has SOMETHING or hope that any radiation there was, if there was any, has decayed close to relatively safe levels.
I was referring more to how we, the readers, can see that there is a living individual present on the surface, so it can’t be *too* hostile to survive in. Beyond that, yeah, nothing is certain.
Well shite, it looks like someone is alive, unfriendly, and in the immediate area… the natives shown gear is not conducive to them being quickly viewed as a friendly person:9 , it is not a sure bet they are violent towards strangers though. I hope that is not a view of a stealing-murdering-violent creature that has our heroes escape shaft under surveillance, being all un-knowing innocent non-assholic persons and dropping into another wrong side of Baltimore or East St. Louise-Camden or other such etc. far United States black hellscape would suck.
Soooo…remember that whole “updating” thing you used to do? Any idea when you’ll be doing that again?
In all seriousness, though: I was really starting to get into this comic, and now it’s been an entire month with no update. Is the comic on hiatus or something?
New friend? New threat?I do not know, but the look very interesting!
Love that establishing shot too!
ah. well I mean hey you didn’t die on the spot upon reaching the surface so that’s something…I guess?
Best hope there are edibles and potable water up here on the surface.
Ooh, a new character! They look insectile or maybe robotic.
Well, could be worse, it’s not a death-zone of radioactivity or anything like that!

Well at least we know it’s not so radioactive that it’s visible.

For the end times, those roads are damn clean!
Oof.

Well, they’re not alone, but that may not be a good thing …

Hello? I hope you are well.
WHY U NO UPDATE!!!! It was just getting good 🙁
Um, hello? Anybody there?
Interesting that an early June update suddenly showed in early September… I must speak to my ISP as to their caching. :p
